EMPLOYMENT TRAINING
Employment training teaches skills to help navigate community work based settings.
Employment Training at The Adult Skills Center prepares individuals for a variety of workplaces by focusing on prerequisite skills needed for any given job opportunity.
Employment training happens in a variety of settings including classroom style instruction, hands on activities, in vivo practice, and paid-internship placement.

JOB PLACEMENT
Our Staffing Managers proactively market your skills to the most appropriate companies and train you on how to conduct your own job search.

Person Centered Discovery Process that assess each client’s unique skills and interests to ensure optimal work placement. The Discovery Process a deep look into a client’s particular skills and interests which promote long-term job retention.

Once we’ve identified your strengths and provided you with the necessary skills training our support shifts to your job search. Our Job Developers proactively market your skills to the most appropriate companies and train you on how to conduct your own job search.

JOB COACHING
You’re hired! And we’ve got your back. One of our Job Coaches will work along side of you while you get used to your new work environment for as long as you need.
One on one assistance to support individuals learn job tasks and helps them navigate interpersonal communications with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
The Job Coach works with employers and co-workers in how to best communicate and support their fellow co-workers with Person Centered Thinking strategies. Support gradually reduces as your employee becomes more independent.

We also make and build new relationships through employment which provide valuable opportunities to be and feel included.
MOBILITY TRAINING
Mobility Training helps you navigate the route from your home to your job and a support specialist navigates the route with you until you feel comfortable navigating it independently.
Depending on the level of support needed, TASC can provide transportation to and from our Paid Internship sites and Mobility Training for individual supported employment.

TICKET TO WORK
The Ticket to Work Program offers Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities the choices, opportunities and supports needed to find and keep employment.
Social Security's Ticket to Work Program supports career development for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who want to work. The Ticket Program is free and voluntary.
The Ticket Program helps people with disabilities progress toward financial independence. Individuals who receive Social Security benefits because of a disability and are age 18 through 64 probably already qualify for the program.

The Ticket to Work Program offers Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities the choices, opportunities and supports needed to find and keep employment, increase their earnings through work, and reduce their reliance on cash benefits to the greatest extent possible.
The Ticket to Work (Ticket) program is a good fit for people who want to improve their earning potential and are committed to preparing for long-term success in the workplace.
The Ticket program offers beneficiaries with disabilities access to meaningful employment with the assistance of Ticket to Work employment service providers called Employment Networks (EN).
